Website Update: cyberhands.tech, Mental Health Content Update
Originally, the website started under my original domain name, platinumitconsulting.com, and my intention was to learn some programming, website scraping with python, and have an area I can showcase my writing abilities, particularly as certifications are added to my portfolio to guide my aim towards a Penetration Testing career. Additionally, the content of this website is to reflect Mental Health concerns we can all fall victim to due to struggles we face alone or those situations beyond our control. In that time, I decided to move the website towards the new domain cyberhands.tech as this content grows so the name, content, and vision align, at least from my perspective.
Over the last few months, I have found my progress slower than I would wish. I first thought the Windows Security Baseline series and the website content would be completed within a few months, but with only having time to write on weekends, that has not been realized. Yesterday was to be the next blog on developing the Windows Security Baseline, but I had a CompTIA PenTest+ Beta exam scheduled, which, afterwards I felt like doing little else but reflecting on the state of my current career goals and this website.
Towards that reflection, I decided a content update post was needed, along with the message below to add to the Mental Health portion of the website. I am finding while my technical writing is on point, continuing the technical writing honed from the Masters program I completed, I can't help but approach these items in the First Person context.
However, if you are struggling, reach out. Continuously saying, "I'm fine" doesn't always work out. I speak from experience. Keep pushing forward, find your tribe that supports you, and not the tribe that sabotages and blames you for the mistakes we make when we struggle.
But never give up.
There are better days. Its just hard to leave the bad ones behind.
